Ecuador acquires airplanes Airbus C295
Ecuador have placed an order for three medium transport aircraft C295 Airbus Defence and Space for immediate delivery. The contract also includes a package Full In Service Support (FISS), which ensures the operation and maintenance of the fleet. The delivery of the first of three aircraft was held on June 6 at the Airbus plant in Seville Defence and Space, while the remaining two will be handed over this year.
The three aircraft will be used for military and humanitarian missions, such as transporting military and civilian personnel, as well as support to populations in remote areas or in emergency situations.
The C295 Air Force of Ecuador in addition to the two Airbus C212 and CN235 two Airbus Army Ecuador; and the two CN235 Armed Ecuador already operating in this Andean country of difficult terrain and challenging flying conditions. “We are very proud that Ecuador, after a satisfying experience with our aircraft, has decided to repeat order, demonstrating that the full range of products that Airbus offers can meet the needs of all the military forces of a country,” said Antonio Rodríguez Barberán, Sales Director Airbus Defence and Space – Military Aircraft.
So far, more than 140 aircraft C295 has been contracted by 19 countries.
